My first week at the new place

From November 23, 2009, our school moves a new place, 200 Consumers Rd. How is it different from the old school? Which is better?

Yesterday was our first day to study in new school. Our teacher Joseph took us to visit the new school after class. The new school has two floors: 4th floor and 9th floor. All of the classrooms locate at the 4th floor except level/5's classroom, which will be canceled and combined into level/4 from December 1, so the classrooms seem smaller than before. Although there are no blackboards for every classrooms temporarily and there is no coffee and hot water like before, and everything seems a mess, I think everything will be normal and better after some time. On the 6th floor, there is main computer lab and some special classrooms, such as the workplace room and offices. It is brighter and better than the 4th floor.

I think it is a good place for us to study English. The teacher is a guide like on a trip, and we are playing main role. I will speak actively in the classroom and read more books in order to enlarge my vocabulary.

To summarize, the government has supplied a good place and a good teacher to us. It is a waste to time and resources if we don't study hard.

Secondly, IMAX Dome theatre is a fascinating place to see a movie.

Thirdly, the Science Arcade hall is full of puzzles, games, illusions, challenges and hands-on experiences that really make science fun!

Fourthly, the Living Earth hall is another interesting place, where you can wander through a real, live Rain Forest environment filled with plants and animals.

Yesterday, we went to the Roy Thomson Hall and attended a free organ performance featuring Frederic Champion. Frederic Champion is a famous organist. According to the programme notes, he has won many prizes at many important international organ competitions. It is a regret that I couldn't appreciate the performance because I didn't know the background and the content of the music. In fact, it is very difficult for me to understand classical music, especially about religion. Anyway I would like to thank my teacher Joseph because he introduced many buildings to us, which are all symbols of Toronto.

My ideal job in Canada

My ideal job is to be an accountant in a multinational company. It is a steady job, and with no relocation required. I would have a big room to work in with a good view from the windows. The company must offer good benefits and salary. There is two-to-three weeks' vacation a year. Everyone can be trained professionally every year. In the company, everyone is very nice and happy. All of us love the company as our home. That is my ideal job!
